Orillia man charged with stunt driving in a stolen vehicle: OPP

The 31-year-old also gave officers multiple false identifications, was charged with being in possession of more than $5,000 in property obtained by crime and other offences

An Orillia man is facing a slew of charges after being pulled over for stunt driving in eastern Ontario.

At 4:30 a.m. on Nov. 14, Renfrew OPP officers stopped a speeding vehicle for stunt driving on Highway 17 in McNab-Braeside.

Officers quickly discovered the vehicle was stolen. The suspect gave officers multiple false identifications, according to a media release from Renfrew OPP.

As a result of the investigation, Justice Europe, 31, of Orillia was charged with:

  • Obstruct peace officer
  • Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000- in Canada
  • Personation with intent to avoid arrest, prosecution or obstruct justice (identity fraud)
  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Speeding 50+ km/h over posted limit
  • Drive motor vehicle- perform stunt- excessive speed
  • Driving while under suspension

The accused was held in custody.
