An axe-wielding suspect broke into a residential garage in Gravenhurst and stole items early Wednesday morning.
A resident on Xavier Street called police and reported an unknown suspect was near the home, carrying two axes. The suspect went into the garage, entered vehicles and stole a variety of items and a small quantity of cash, Bracebridge OPP said in a news release.
Anyone in the area who has video surveillance from between 1 and 2 a.m. is asked to check the footage and call police with any information at 1-800-310-1122. Information can be provided anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or crimestopperssdm.com.
