RIDE stop leads to multiple charges in Bracebridge: OPP

BRACEBRIDGE — A driver faces multiple charges stemming from a RIDE check over the weekend.

In a news release issued today, Bracebridge OPP say on Oct. 6, 2024 at 11:30 p.m., officers, along with members of the Central Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team, were conducting a RIDE program on Taylor Road near Depot Drive in Bracebridge, when they began an investigation into the driving of a person coming through the checkpoint.

As a result , Breeze Jantzi, 22, of Mactier, was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance (cocaine) for the Purpose of Trafficking CDSA 5(2) and
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000 CC 354(1)(a).

Jantzi will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on Nov. 12, 2024 to answer to her charges.
