Three people have been charged following a drug bust Wednesday on Barrie Road in Orillia.
Following an investigation into alleged drug trafficking in the city, a search warrant was executed Wednesday. Police seized 67 grams of fentanyl, 23 grams of cocaine, four 100-millilitre bottles of methadone, 134 hydromorphone pills, 67 oxycodone pills, a prohibited knife and numerous cellular devices, Orillia OPP said in a news release.
Paul Hart-Payne, 31, of Orillia, has been charged with the following:
- Assault with a weapon
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
- Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order (three counts)
- Failure to comply with a probation order (six counts)
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl, cocaine, methadone, oxycodone and hydromorphone)
- Possession of property obtained by crime
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Michael Hart-Payne, 30, and Serena Horton, 21, both of Orillia, have been charged with the following:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl, cocaine, methadone, oxycodone and hydromorphone)
- Possession of property obtained by crime
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
They were released on an undertaking with a future court date.
