Police have charged three people and seized about $20,000 worth of drugs after executing a search warrant Thursday at an Orillia residence.
Earlier this month, Orillia OPP began investigating an individual who was believed to have been trafficking drugs in the city, police said in a news release.
The investigation led them to turn their attention to a residence on Mariposa Drive in the city’s north end, where a warrant was executed.
Police seized 110 grams of fentanyl, 148 oxycodone pills and 113 grams of cocaine, as well as digital scales, drug packaging, and cellphones.
Erin Teachout, 45, of Orillia, Amy Bush, 46, of Orillia, and Garnet Seraphine, 27, of Markham, have each been charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl, oxycodone, cocaine).
Seraphine was also charged with failure to comply with a release order. Teachout and Bush were released from custody with future court dates, while Seraphine is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
