Orillia OPP, while on patrol at about 1:30 a.m. June 20, noticed a vehicle driving near the intersection of West and King streets with one of its headlights not working. That prompted officers to stop the vehicle.

It went from bad to worse for the three occupants of the vehicle as officers discovered one of the passengers was violating release conditions. A quantity of cocaine was also found in the vehicle, according to a media release from the Orillia OPP.

As a result, three local residents are now facing charges.

Vicki Zimmerman, 54, of Orillia, has been charged with possession of cocaine and failure to comply with a release order.

Shantel Bylow, 35, also of Orillia, was charged with possession of cocaine and obstructing a peace officer.

Donald Slessor, 67, of Severn Township, was charged with possession of cocaine, driving without proper headlights, fail to surrender insurance card and fail to notify a change of address.

All three were released on an undertaking and will answer their charges Aug. 2 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia.
