Two charged in Wasaga Beach road rage incident involving firearm

Two people are facing charges after what police are calling a road rage incident Tuesday in Wasaga Beach.

Huronia West OPP responded at about 2 p.m. to several calls reporting road rage involving two vehicles. Two of the callers were occupants of one of the vehicles involved, with one claiming they were being run off the road and the other saying an occupant of the other vehicle pointed a firearm at them, police said in a news release.

As the vehicles were headed into Wasaga Beach, officers conducted a “high-risk takedown” of the vehicle whose occupant had allegedly pointed the firearm. Two people were detained and the weapon was seized.

Nathan Kosynski Dob, 32, of Penetanguishene, was charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, possession of a prohibited device or ammunition for a dangerous purpose, using a firearm while committing an offence, and discharging a firearm with intent.

Kerrie Dunn Dob, 33, also of Penetanguishene, was charged with dangerous operation.
