A woman has been charged after someone reported being stabbed Friday in Midland.
At about 4 p.m., police were called to an apartment complex on King Street following a complaint by a female saying she had been stabbed during a dispute. She was taken to hospital, and her injuries are not believed to be serious, Southern Georgian Bay OPP said in a news release.
Officers located the accused in an apartment in the complex and arrested her. She was bound by a release order with conditions following charges for a “serious incident” last summer, police said.
Georgia Quanbury, 26, of Midland, has been charged with assault with a weapon, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, and failure to comply with a release order. She was held for a bail hearing scheduled for Saturday in Barrie.
