Woman charged with impaired after vehicle lands in ditch: OPP

In a separate incident, a 29-year-old local boater was also charged with impaired and for failure to provide a breath sample

Two people face charges after Bracebridge OPP responded to a pair of unrelated incidents yesterday.

Shortly before 1 a.m., police and EMS were notified of a vehicle in a ditch on Kanien'kehá:ka Iohatátie (formerly Muskoka Road 38) on Wahta Mohawk First Nation.

As a result, Jennifer Hill, 31 years old of Gravenhurst, will appear in court on Oct. 5 to face charges of  impaired driving.

Later the same day, at approximately 7:30 p.m., officers responded to reports that an allegedly impaired man was operating a boat in Isaac Bay on Moose Deer Point First Nation.

Following an investigation, 29-year-old Mathew Williams of Moose Deer Point First Nation was arrested and charged with refusal to comply with demand (breath) and operation while prohibited. He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 10.
