LETTER: Staging vigil 'on holiest day' a bitter pill to swallow

Vigils scheduled on holy days 'makes sure any Jewish person who would like to come... cannot attend,' laments letter writer

I couldn’t agree more.

The problem is that one-sided vigils is what is to be expected when said vigil is scheduled on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar. It purposely makes sure any Jewish person who would like to come and have a real conversation (like I tried during the screening at St. Paul’s of a one-sided movie about Israel) cannot attend.

This was no doubt perfectly planned. What a disappointment that St. Paul’s (a place of gathering) has endorsed this inherently one-sided initiative.
