Public complaints led police to charging a driver from the Ottawa area.
On Friday evening around 8:45 p.m., Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police received several calls regarding a vehicle in Bracebridge making "unsafe manoeuvres" in residential areas.
Officers responded and stopped the vehicle.
As a result, Marc-Andre Ouellette, 22, of Orleans has been charged with:
- operation while impaired by alcohol/drug CC 320.14(1)(a)
- dangerous operation CC 320.13(1)
- mischief - destroys or damages property CC 430(1)(a)
- theft under $5,000 CC 334(b)
- assault a peace officer CC 270(1)(a)
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
