Man dies after pickup crashes with cement truck in Bracebridge

The other driver was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries, say OPP

BRACEBRIDGE – On Wednesday Nov. 4, 2020, at approximately 9:16 a.m., members of the Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and emergency crews responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a cement truck and a pick-up truck on Brackenrig Road, Bracebridge.

The 37-year-old driver of the pick-up truck was pronounced deceased at the scene. The male was the driver and lone occupant of the motor vehicle.

The driver of the cement truck was airlifted by Ornge to hospital with serious injuries.

OPP Central Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) are currently at the scene to assist with the investigation.

The investigation is on-going, and a road closure is in effect on Brackenrig Road, south of Windemere Road.
