Sept 6 update:
The male in the picture released by police has been identified. Through investigation it was determined that he was not involved in the theft of the motorcycle. As a result, the photo has been removed.
Police continue to seek information regarding the whereabouts of the motorcycle and any suspects involved in this theft.
Sept. 5 original release:
The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a theft of a motorcycle from a Davey Drive residence on Sept. 1, 2019 in the City of Orillia.
On Sept. 2, 2019 police received a complaint of a stolen 2008 Yamaha WR250X. The victim has surveillance cameras where a suspect was caught on camera.
Police have obtained the surveillance photo footage of the suspect and is seeking information on who this person is. A photo of the motorcycle and suspect have been included in this release.
