A 52-year-old Innisfil man has been charged with failing to yield for a pedestrian after a person was struck by a vehicle Monday on Bayfield Street in Barrie.
On March 10, city police received the call at 12 p.m. about a pedestrian who was hit near the Coulter Street intersection.
The pedestrian was transported to the local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police communications co-ordinator Jennett Mays said Tuesday morning.
A section of Bayfield Street at Coulter Street was closed until about 3 p.m., Monday, while police investigated the lunchtime incident.
Bayfield Street South was closed from Ferris Lane to Rose Street for approximately three hours.
