Section of Bayfield St. closed after pedestrian struck by vehicle

Police say pedestrian was transported to local hospital with undisclosed injuries following collision

A section of Bayfield Street in Barrie is closed today due to a police investigation into a serious collision involving a pedestrian on Monday.

A section of Bayfield Street in Barrie is closed this afternoon while police investigate a crash involving a pedestrian that happened around lunchtime.

City police received a call at 12 p.m. about a pedestrian who was struck near the intersection of Bayfield and Coulter streets.

One person was transported to the local hospital with undisclosed injuries, police communications co-ordinator Jennett Mays said.

Bayfield Street South will be closed from Ferris Lane to Rose Street for an indefinite period of time to allow for the completion of the investigation.
