The Temiskaming OPP arrested a motorist for impaired driving yesterday afternoon after two separate accidents on Highway 11 North involving the same person.
On Nov. 27 at 1:30 p.m., OPP responded to a fail-to-remain collision, on Highway 11 in Temiskaming Shores.
Officers responding to that one came across a second one on Highway 11 approximately five kilometres south of the initial accident.
The driver was arrested for impaired driving after the investigation revealed the same vehicle was involved in both incidents.
Shelby Loach, 26, from Englehart is charged with:
- Failure or refusal to comply with a demand
- Fail to remain at the scene of an accident
Loach was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury on Jan. 7, 2025.
