Police seized weapons, drugs and other items while executing a search warrant Wednesday in MacTier.

A Georgian Bay Township man is facing charges after Orillia OPP seized weapons and drugs Wednesday in MacTier.

Police began an investigation in November, focusing on a man who was allegedly trafficking drugs and was in possession of a firearm.

On Wednesday, a search warrant was executed at a Young Street address in MacTier.

Police seized the following:

  • Glock 19X handgun (loaded)
  • 9 mm ammunition
  • .223 ammunition
  • Three crossbows, and bolts
  • 624 grams of cocaine
  • 220 grams of cannabis
  • 32 LSD tabs
  • $6,250 in Canadian currency
  • Money counter

Kyle Matts, 35, has been held for a bail hearing and is charged with the following:

  • Possession of a prohibited device and unauthorized possession of a weapon (two counts)
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a restricted firearm
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order (10 counts)
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking (LSD)
  • Possession of illicit cannabis for the purpose of selling
  • Trafficking in a Schedule 1 substance
