Orillia man one of more than a dozen ticketed Friday in Bradford

On the evening of Friday, August 9, 2019, South Simcoe Police Service participated in a multi-agency enforcement campaign in Bradford targeting speeding and exhaust noise. The Project ERASE campaign stands for Eliminate Racing Activity On Streets Everywhere. More than 100 charges were laid including noise violations and dozens of speeding tickets.

The traffic stops included:

A 58-year-old Beeton man stopped for speeding (77 km/h in a 50 km/h zone) was also issued a three day licence suspension after a roadside test resulted in a caution.

A 58-year-old Orillia man stopped for speeding (83 km/h in a 50 km/h zone) was also issued a three day licence suspension after a roadside test resulted in a caution.

A 21-year-old Bradford man had his licence plates seized when an inspection revealed his vehicle's complete exhaust system had been modified including the removal of the vehicle's emission control equipment. He had been ticketed for noise two days prior.

A 24-year-old man had his G2 licence suspended after testing positive for the presence of drugs. An additional 4 drivers were tested for drugs and alcohol yielding two additional suspensions
